Background
The company is an official John Deere dealer in Ukraine. It also sells machinery of other global brands: Fast, Geringhoff, Gregoire Besson, Hagie, Kemper, Kramer, Mazzotti, Monosem, Sulky, and Vaderstad.
Along with supplying agricultural machinery and components, the company also provides warranty and post-warranty service.
Before the active hostilities in Ukraine broke out, the company was already considering migrating its IT infrastructure outside the country. At that time, the company was using several dedicated servers and NAS.
Tasks
After 24. February 2022, the company made the final decision to migrate data from its own data centre in Ukraine to one of the European countries.
- The company was looking for a reliable cloud service provider that had good reviews, good communication and flexible service.
- Colobridge met these requirements. Colobridge provided the client with a dedicated server and NAS to implement an IT infrastructure model familiar to the client.
- Deployed in a data centre outside the country, it was supposed to provide fast, convenient and secure running of the client’s applications.

Implementation
The company chose to rent a server and network storage and engaged its in-house staff to migrate the data to Colobridge technology platform.
To save money and improve efficiency, the network infrastructure was provided as a service and is now managed by the cloud provider’s team.
All the issues faced during the data migration were quickly resolved by the technical support team.

Results
For the client, renting equipment in the cloud has become a tool that helps protect data from physical destruction. The company has finally implemented its plans to migrate part of its IT infrastructure to the platform Colobridge and has already appreciated the first results: business applications operate fast and smoothly. They are now equally available to all employees: both those working on-site in remote offices and those connecting remotely from home or another secure location.
Current architecture:
We approached Colobridge to migrate some of our business data out of the country at a time when Ukraine was going through a tough time. We were offered products that suited our needs and helped migrate the data that needed to be protected from physical destruction. Now we know for sure that the data is safe (it is placed in top data centres not only in Germany but also in Europe), we have reduced the cost of maintaining our IT infrastructure and do not even feel that it is geographically remote from us — we are satisfied with the access speed and the prompt response of support team to our requests.
